Many years ago I chanced upon a copy of a magazine called "Movie Merry-Go -Round" from 1936. Stuffed in a basket full of old bits of tat in a dusty old bookshop long gone – I saw it and fell in love. Its filled with page after page of cheesecake, burlesque beauties and film stills from the time, a plethora of feathers fur and tap panties!

ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know anything about preserving vintage magazines? I took this one out of its plastic to pop some of the quotes into the blog and it very nearly crumbled to dust in my hands, and I'd hate to loose it :(
Perhaps you could speak to Zetta Florence. They have two stores in Melbourne and have an archival department who may be able to assist.
